Fluorescent Penetrant Testing
Fluorescent penetrant testing is performed on ferrous and non-ferrous alloys to locate those flaws which are open to the surface. Fluorescent dyes are utilized to locate those flaws in test specimens which when viewed with the aid of a black (ultraviolet) light will expose themselves to varying degrees. Water wash and post-emulsification systems are used depending on customer requirements. Forgings, castings, welds, brazes, and extrusions are some of the materials which are tested on a daily basis.
